The main goal of the initiative is to create and nurture an international community of audiovisual industry professionals based in Galicia. The project also aims to promote unique voices and points of view, which is why independent filmmakers and producers with a strong artistic vision are invited to present their proposals. The call is open to projects from any country, regardless of their stage of development, production or post-production, and with no restrictions in terms of length, format or film genre.

VENTURA's proposal falls into three aspects. The training aspect will enable participants to meet with renowned industry professionals who will share their knowledge on issues such as financing, co-production and distribution. On the more purely creative side, those selected will be able to participate in a one-week writing residency given by Marta Andreu, filmmaker, producer and academic director of the Master's in Creative Documentary at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Finally, there will be a co-production forum where the different projects will be presented and where an international jury will award various prizes, including a cash prize of 10,000 euros.
